Tabi’s Journey
November is National Adoption Month, and Saturday November 20 is National Adoption Day!
I thought it would be great to share with you a video about the journey of my adoption of Tabi. I never get tired of telling her story because it is a testimony of God’s incredible love for orphaned children.
Psalm 68:5 says, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families.” I love this verse because it describes who God is. He is Love, He is Holy, and He is a father to the Fatherless.
I give praise to Him for his relentless love of orphaned children and that he will move mountains for the love of one child.

Dear Tami, I was going through old paperwork this past week when I found a Physician magazine (Focus on the Family – no longer producing this periodical) which had your story with Tabi. I read it again. Now, 7 years later, I have the internet so I Googled you and found this.
What a lovely young woman she has become! (This is based on your picture on the meet the authors section). She looks healthy and loved – and so do you.
I have not been able to watch this video – hope to get to a computer where I can (the one I’m using is older and crashes with videos). I wish you well in your endeavors. I am a “retired” (?) family physician who stepped aside from my career 6 years ago to be a stay at home mom to my son with some speech and social delays. But, as my mother-in-law quotes from the Kansas State extension program from the 70′s (we live on a farm and in a rural/agricultural community): “children are our most important crop”. Thank you for your work with children for the Master.
Blessings to you and Tabi, Rachael
Rachael,
Thank you so much for your note! Tabi is doing great! How great of you to “retire” to stay home with your children. They are worth it!
Tami
